Yokogawa SDV144-S13 16-Channel Digital Input Module

The Yokogawa SDV144-S13 (Style S4) is a 16-channel digital input module for Yokogawa CENTUM VP and ProSafe-RS systems that converts discrete ON/OFF signals from field devices into digital data for the control system. It provides 16 isolated dry-contact inputs with channel and system isolation (2 kV AC withstand), enabling reliable operation and support for redundant configurations in harsh industrial environments. Each input accepts a no-voltage contact signal with an ON resistance ≤1 kΩ and OFF resistance ≥100 kΩ, drawing about 6 mA ±20% from a 24 VDC supply and delivering a contact rating of 24 VDC ±20%, ≥10 mA. The module is powered by a 24 VDC supply (±20%) with a capacity of 200 mA external, and it supports a maximum input voltage of 30 VDC with a response time of ≤40 ms. Typical applications include monitoring valve positions, alarms, limit switches, and interlocks in oil & gas, LNG, chemical processing, and power generation plants, providing real-time digital feedback to the Yokogawa system bus (e.g., Vnet/IP). Mounting is rack-mounted in an FIO or safety node unit, and the unit draws approximately 140 mA from 24 VDC (about 290 mA at 5 VDC).
