The Yokogawa ANT502-50 S1 Optical ESB Bus Repeater Module is a Slave optical ESB repeater that extends Yokogawa Enhanced Serial Bus communications over fiber by converting ESB electrical signals to optical signals for long-distance transmission up to 5 km. Installed in Yokogawa node units (ANB11, AFV series, or repeater units), it supports chain and star topologies with up to 8 nodes (system dependent) and up to 2 chain stages, drawing approximately 0.5 A and weighing about 0.25 kg. In industrial automation, it enables distributed process control and remote I/O networking by providing signal regeneration and optical transmission for extended communication in harsh environments, with common applications in oil & gas, power generation, and large-scale manufacturing.
