Xtralis VEP-A10-P-UL Aspirating Smoke Detector

The Vesda VEP-A10-P-UL aspirating smoke detector from Xtralis/Honeywell delivers very early warning smoke detection for critical environments through continuous aspirating smoke monitoring using Flair™ laser-based particle detection in a four-pipe sampling configuration. It supports a 3.5 in color touchscreen display, operates on 18–30 VDC (24 VDC nominal), and guards up to 2,000 m² (21,520 ft²) with a maximum total four-pipe length of 470 m (1,542 ft). Alarm levels include Alert, Action, Fire 1, and Fire 2, and the unit logs up to 20,000 events. Communication is via VESDAnet, Ethernet, and USB, with seven programmable relays and two general purpose inputs (one monitored, one unmonitored). Ultrasonic flow sensing ensures accurate monitoring of airflow through the system. The enclosure has an IP40 rating (not UL tested) and is designed for wall mounting with a steel support bracket. This detector is intended for commercial and industrial fire protection systems and is commonly used in data centers, healthcare facilities, transportation infrastructure, mission-critical environments, and other high-value asset protections where dependable early warning is essential. Common replacements include Vesda VEP-A00-P-UL, Vesda VEU-A00-P, and Vesda VLP-400.
