Watts Model M2 1" Series 223 Pressure Reducing Valve automatically reduces incoming water pressure to a safe, consistent downstream level. It has a 25–75 PSI adjustable range (factory preset at 50 PSI), a bronze body, 1" valve size with female NPT connections, and a maximum inlet pressure of 300 PSI, serving potable water up to 160°F while helping reduce water consumption. This high-capacity valve is serviceable in-line for maintenance without removing it from piping and is commonly installed in commercial, industrial, and institutional water systems (including apartment complexes, schools, hospitals, office buildings, and manufacturing plants) to protect downstream piping and fixtures, reduce water hammer, and improve system efficiency; common replacements include Watts LF223 1" PRV, LF223S 1" PRV, and N223B 1" PRV.
