Tri-Tronics MDIO4 16377 Photo Optic Sensor Module

The TRI-TRONICS MDIO4 16377 MITY-EYE Photo Optic Sensor is a non-contact sensing module designed for industrial automation to detect the presence or absence of objects on packaging lines, conveyors, and material-handling equipment. It features an O4 wide-beam optical block with an infrared LED light source, provides both NPN and PNP open-collector outputs up to 150 mA, and operates on 10–30 VDC with a 500 µs response time; the 6 ft attached cable and a 4-turn clutched potentiometer allow Light ON/Dark ON adjustment. Built to endure demanding environments, it includes reverse polarity, short-circuit, and Zener protection to 36 V and carries enclosure ratings of NEMA 4X, NEMA 6P, and IP67, functioning from -20°C to +70°C. Common applications include packaging equipment, bottling lines, food processing systems, pharmaceutical machinery, electronics assembly, and material handling for product detection, positioning, counting, and conveyor monitoring.
