The Trane VAL08721BBIZE-2-GA is an OEM externally equalized thermal expansion valve (TXV) that meters R-410A refrigerant into the evaporator coil in Trane residential and commercial HVAC systems, maintaining proper superheat for efficient cooling and compressor protection. With a 2-ton nominal capacity and 3/8 in. ODS Inlet × 1/2 in. ODS Outlet, this BBIZE-2-GA valve automatically modulates refrigerant flow based on evaporator load. As an OEM replacement, it is compatible with Trane air conditioners, heat pumps, rooftop units, and packaged HVAC equipment (model dependent) and can be interchanged with the Sporlan ERZE-2-GA where approved by Trane.
