The Timken National Oil Seal 455015 is a single-lip oil seal designed to retain lubricants and prevent dirt, moisture, and other contaminants from entering rotating shaft systems. This 450000-series, Type 45 seal features a single lip with a loaded spring and is constructed from nitrile (NBR) with a durometer of 60–80 and plain round oil seal construction. It measures 3.062 in shaft ID, 4.254 in OD, and 0.625 in width, and operates across -40°F to 225°F (-40°C to 107°C). Manufactured in the United States by Timken under the National brand (MPN 455015), it is commonly used in industrial gearboxes, pumps, electric motors, conveyors, manufacturing equipment, off-highway machinery, oil refineries, and power transmission systems to protect bearings and lubricated components. Common replacements include SKF 42532M1 and National 450000-series oil seals.
