Thomas & Betts TBM8S Manual Ratchet Lug Crimper

The Thomas & Betts TBM8S Manual Ratchet Lug Crimper is a heavy-duty, hand-operated compression tool that installs copper and aluminum lugs, splices, and C-taps with consistent, high-quality crimps via the Shure-Stake® ratchet mechanism. It crimps copper from #8 AWG to 500 kcmil and aluminum from #10 AWG to 350 kcmil, with a C-Tap capacity of #12 AWG to 3/0 AWG (compatible C-taps) and does not require die changes during operation. The tool includes the Eight Multi-Nested Color-Coded Installing Dies, automatic die code embossment, color-keyed die nests, a durable carrying case, and a wire brush, all wrapped in an ergonomic orange/black palm-grip handle for field service. With an overall length of 26 inches, it supports field service, electrical construction, utility distribution, and industrial maintenance, including new installations, repairs, retrofits, and replacement of manual compression tools by maintenance electricians and system integrators. It complies with RoHS 3, REACH, and TSCA Section 6(h). Common replacements include TBM45S, TBM6S, and TBM12PCR-LI.
