The Torrington 35SF56 spherical plain bearing is a heavy-duty radial bearing designed to support high radial loads and moderate shaft misalignment without rolling elements. It features a 3.500 in bore and a 5.500 in outside diameter, with inner and outer ring widths of 3.062 in and 2.625 in, respectively. The fractured outer ring simplifies assembly, and the hardened steel rings carry a phosphate-treated surface coated with molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂) for a self-lubricating sliding surface. Rated for a dynamic load of 132,000 lbf (587 kN) and a static load of 410,000 lbf (1,824 kN), it accommodates moderate angular misalignment and operates up to 392°F (200°C).
