The Timken Company 455154 Single Lip Oil Seal

The Timken National Oil Seal 455154 is a single-lip oil seal with a spring designed to retain lubricants and prevent dirt, moisture, and other contaminants from entering rotating shaft systems. It's used in industrial gearboxes, pumps, electric motors, conveyors, heavy-duty vehicle axles, construction and mining equipment, and other power transmission gear to protect bearings and lubricated components in demanding environments. This seal is solid with an inner case, made with nitrile (NBR) lip material, and features an inch-size footprint: shaft ID 3.000 in (76.20 mm), OD 4.130 in (104.90 mm), housing bore 4.125 in (104.78 mm), and width 0.562 in (14.27 mm). It supports up to 3000 ft/min shaft speed and tolerates misalignment of 0.015 in at 800 rpm and 0.010 in at 4200 rpm, with a continuous operating temperature range from -40°F to 225°F (-40°C to 107°C). Part of the 450000 series (Design Type 45), it is a common replacement for SKF equivalents and National 450000-series seals.
