The Timken National 417541 radial shaft oil seal is a spring-loaded Type 41, multi-lip seal (Series 410000) designed to retain lubricants and exclude contaminants in industrial gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and electric motors. Its nitrile rubber sealing element and steel case with inner case provide reliable sealing under normal industrial conditions, and Redi-Coat aids installation. Dimensions include a shaft diameter of 5.000 in (127.000 mm), outside diameter of 6.507 in (165.278 mm), housing bore of 6.499 in (165.075 mm), and overall width of 0.500 in (12.700 mm). The seal is rated for a maximum shaft surface speed of 3000 ft/min, with a misalignment tolerance of 0.015 in at 800 rpm and 0.010 in at 4200 rpm, and a pressure rating of 7 psi; operating temperature range from -40°F to 225°F (-40°C to 107°C).
