The Timken Company 417518 Radial Shaft Oil Seal

The Timken National 417518 radial shaft oil seal is a Type 41, multi-lip, spring-loaded seal from the 410000 series designed to retain lubricants and block contaminants in industrial power transmission equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, conveyors and electric motors. It features a nitrile (NBR) sealing element inside a steel case with inner case, and it fits a 4.250 in shaft (107.950 mm) with an outside diameter of 6.133 in (155.778 mm) and a housing bore of 6.126 in (155.600 mm), with an overall width of 0.500 in (12.700 mm). The seal supports up to 7 psi, a maximum shaft surface speed of 3000 ft/min, and misalignment tolerance of 0.015 in at 800 rpm or 0.010 in at 4200 rpm, with an operating temperature range from -40°F to 225°F (-40°C to 107°C). Redi-Coat is included, and common replacements include SKF 417518, CR 417518 and National 417518.
