Allen-Bradley 1769-SDN DeviceNet Scanner Module

The Allen-Bradley 1769-SDN DeviceNet Scanner Module is a Compact I/O device that plugs into a 1769 Compact I/O rack to provide DeviceNet scanning capabilities, bridging field devices on the DeviceNet network to a controller in the same system. This single-slot module mounts in the rack and can be installed on a DIN rail or panel, delivering a compact solution for DeviceNet integration in control panels. The module’s input image is configurable up to 246 words, allowing multiple DeviceNet devices to be mapped into the controller’s data image with flexible I/O sizing across the network. Network setup and ongoing maintenance are performed with RSNetWorx for DeviceNet to download and manage the network’s scanlist, supporting defined device profiles and cyclic data exchange within the Compact I/O ecosystem.
