TB Wood's 6J118 Coupling Flange

TB Wood's 6J118 Sure-Flex Type J sleeve coupling flange, size 6, is the flange portion of a flexible TB Wood's coupling designed for a 1-1/8 in bore. It is cast in high‑strength cast iron, features a 4 in outside diameter and a 2-1/2 in hub diameter, and is bored to size for a slip fit on standard shafts. The bore is 1-1/8 in, with a 1/4 in x 1/8 in keyway and a setscrew (5/16-18 UNC) located over the keyway for secure clamping; overall flange length is 3/4 in, and the through-bore length is 1-5/16 in, with an overall flange length of 3-1/2 in. The outer surface is machined to aid alignment without special tools, and the flange is designed to pair with TB Wood's sleeves (excluding Hytrel) for varied construction options. Rated up to 6,000 RPM and about 1,800 in-lb of torque, it is commonly used in motors, pumps, compressors, blowers, mixers and conveyors where a precise, rigid flange interface is required.
