The Tadiran Batteries Ltd. TL-5242 PLC Backup Battery is a Li-SOCl₂ chemistry battery pack designed to provide memory backup and real-time clock power for PLCs and other industrial control systems. It delivers a nominal voltage of 3.6 V and a nominal capacity of 2.1 Ah, with wire leads and a connector on a compact pack suitable for industrial installations. The package uses AWG 24 wiring and is mounted in a hook-and-loop fastener enclosure, with an enclosure rating of UL 94V-2, and supports configuration-specific Molex or Berg connectors.
