SymCom MS50R-200 Motor Saver Protection Relay

SymCom MS50R-200 MotorSaver Protection Relay is a single‑phase voltage‑monitoring device that protects small motors from undervoltage, overvoltage, and other abnormal power conditions. It uses a dedicated voltage‑sensing circuit that continuously monitors single‑phase power and will de‑energize its Form C (SPDT) output after a programmable trip delay when a harmful condition is detected, then automatically re‑energize after a restart delay once line conditions recover. The MS50R‑200 accepts 190‑240 VAC input on a 1‑phase system and provides a normally open/closed output rated for 10 A at up to 240 VAC, making it suitable for switching motor starters or related interlocks. Typical applications include fans, compressors, air conditioners, heat pumps, well pumps, sump pumps, and small conveyors, with mounting in or near the motor control panel for quick protection. Installation wiring uses L1/L2 on the MotorSaver input and the relay output wired in series with the motor starter (C and NO for motor control; C and NC for alarms), following the concise wiring diagrams in the installation guides. 50R family models offer adjustable trip delays and restart delays to prevent nuisance trips and ensure controlled restart in 50/60 Hz electrical environments, and the MS50R‑200 continues that capability. Additionally, the unit is designed to restart automatically after a power outage, ensuring minimal downtime for protected motors.
