Sumitomo Electric Industries' MDLH1300P Microlong Drill is a 1.30 mm diameter oil-hole micro long drill with an internal coolant supply (P) designed for high-efficiency drilling of deep, small-diameter holes. It is part of Sumitomo's MDLH micro-long family and is offered in multiple long-length variants (L5, L12, L20, L30) to fit different hole depths and machine-tool constraints. The MDLH1300P can reach depths beyond 20x the drill diameter, with through-tool feeds (Vf) over 500 mm/min on suitable materials, enabling rapid material removal while maintaining precision. The internal coolant supply aids chip evacuation and helps sustain tool life during extended-reach operations, making it well suited for micro-drilling tasks that require long reach and consistent hole geometry in compact tooling envelopes.
