STMicroelectronics STEVAL-ISB012V1 Demonstration Board

STEVAL-ISB012V1 is STMicroelectronics’ battery-monitoring demonstration board based on the STC3105 gas-gauge IC, designed to monitor voltage, current, and capacity of a single-cell Li‑Ion battery. The STC3105 uses a Coulomb-counter method to track state of charge (SOC) and to indicate when the battery is charging or discharging. The board provides a USB connection that presents a virtual COM port to a PC, enabling observation of parameters via HyperTerminal or a dedicated GUI, and it can also display measurements on an onboard LCD. Charging and discharging status is shown by the + and - signs on both the LCD and an LED, and the board offers low-voltage and SOC alarms. It can monitor a battery with a capacity up to +/-10950 mAh and is RoHS compliant. The STEVAL-ISB012V1 includes an internal charger to recharge the battery and can be powered from a USB port or a DC adaptor. Obsolete/out-of-production status is listed by ST.
