STI 44508-0210 MFS1 Stand Alone Safety Switch

The STI 44508-0210 MFS1 Stand Alone Safety Switch is a magnetic ferroresonant stand-alone safety interlock switch designed to provide tamper-resistant access protection for industrial equipment. The MFS family closes its safety contacts only when both magnetic and ferroresonant signals are present, and in stand-alone applications it can directly switch relays and contactors up to 2 A at 230 VAC, all housed in a NEMA 4 enclosure for washdown environments. It mounts on 1-in. square tubing and ships pre-wired for quick installation, with the MFS-11 and MFS-12 variants offering status indicators: MFS-11 shows green when the actuator is in range and contacts are closed, while MFS-12 provides a dual-color LED that shows green when closed and red when open or out of range. Electrical life for the MFS line is specified up to 10 million actuations, and these switches are designed for use with safety monitoring relays to deliver higher reliability in safety circuits.
