Steriflow MK93 Sanitary Thermostatic Steam Trap

The Steriflow MK93 Sanitary Thermostatic Steam Trap is a 316L stainless steel, self‑draining valve designed for validated clean steam systems in biotech and pharmaceutical processing, delivering reliable condensate removal during start‑up and steady operation without compromising line integrity. The MK93 family comprises a standard MK93 and an optional MK93 “P” version; both are rated to 90 psi (6.2 bar) operating pressure, with the standard model handling differential pressures up to 50 psi (3.4 bar) and the “P” option covering 45–90 psi (3.1–6.2 bar). By default it features sanitary clamp ends, with tube weld, threaded, or ISO/DIN connections available on request; the entire wetted path is 316L stainless steel, polished inside and out, with finishes around 20 Ra on the wetted surfaces and FDA/USP Class VI gasket options where applicable. The trap uses a balanced‑port, thermostatic mechanism and is self‑draining when installed vertically (outlet side down), employing a bellows/stem design that opens to vent noncondensables at start‑up and closes under heat to discharge condensate as steam subcooling occurs. Typical applications include clean steam tracing, drip legs and process drainage such as sterilization drains for fermenters, bioreactors, filtration equipment and autoclaves, all supported by low subcooling operation to minimize temperature‑validation faults and CRN registration options for material and workmanship warranty.
