Spirax-Sarco TD52 Thermodynamic Steam Trap, 3/4 in NPT, stainless steel construction (variant commonly cataloged as 54531C) cycles to discharge condensate very near steam temperature and is designed to be unaffected by water hammer or superheat. It is suitable for steam mains, tracer lines, and equipment in high-temperature steam systems requiring reliable condensate removal without in-line control valves. The trap has a PMO of 600 psig (42 barg) and a maximum operating temperature of 800°F (427°C) across all operating pressures, with a minimum operating pressure for satisfactory operation of 3.5 psig and a maximum back pressure not exceeding 80% of the inlet pressure. Typical applications include steam main drainage, process equipment, laundry and kitchen equipment, and outdoor installations subject to freezing; some catalog variants such as 54531C feature ENP finish and an integral insulating cap.
