The Spirax-Sarco TD42L-M21-W Blowdown Valve Thermodynamic is a 1/2‑inch stainless steel thermodynamic steam trap with an integral blowdown valve port, designed to drain condensate from low‑capacity steam circuits while keeping condensate discharged near steam temperature. It features a stainless steel body with a maintainable seat and hardened seating surfaces, plus an integral screen for protection, and the blowdown valve port can accept Spirax BDV1 or BDV2 valves (or be accessed via the strainer cap as specified). Rated for up to 600 psi (41 bar) and operating temperatures up to 752°F (400°C), the unit uses a 1/2" NPT connection and is commonly applied to steam main drainage and outdoor installations where rapid condensate discharge is needed.
