Spirax Sarco FTI-15 Float And Thermostatic Steam Trap

Spirax Sarco FTI-15 Float and Thermostatic Steam Trap is a cast-iron inline trap that combines a float valve mechanism with a thermostatic air vent to discharge condensate continuously at steam temperature while venting non-condensable gases. It is rated PMO 15 psig (1.0 bar g) and offered in 1/2", 3/4", 1", and 1-1/2" NPT connections, with a cast iron body and cover and stainless steel internals for durability in steam service. Optional gauge glass or vacuum breaker accessories tailor the trap to installation needs, and the in-line piping simplifies mounting. Typical applications include air-heating coils, heat exchangers, and steam-main drip stations, as well as small process equipment controlled by a modulating temperature valve; it is also a common upgrade from inverted bucket traps on unit heating equipment. The internal balanced-pressure thermostatic air vent handles non-condensable gas removal, helping prevent air binding and promoting efficient condensate discharge at operating temperature.
