Spirax Sarco Engineering FT450 Ball Float Steam Trap

The Spirax Sarco FT450 is a high-capacity cast steel float-and-thermostatic steam trap for 3" (DN80) and 4" (DN100) piping, providing continuous condensate drainage as it forms. It combines a mechanical ball float with a thermostatic element to handle large, variable condensate loads across changing steam pressures, making it well suited for heat exchangers and process drainage in steam systems. The body is cast steel and the trap includes integral air venting as standard, with optional steam-lock release devices where required. Designed for dependable condensate removal under fluctuating operating conditions, the FT450 supports applications such as shell-and-tube heat exchangers and condensate return lines, helping maintain stable operation of steam-using equipment.
