Spectrum Controls WP46201 WebPort Programmable Ethernet Gateway

The Spectrum Controls WP46201 WebPort is a programmable Ethernet gateway and router that sits at the edge of an industrial network to securely access, monitor, and command connected devices. It functions as both gateway and data-collection node for programmable logic controllers, HMIs, drives, and other equipment, enabling local network operation or remote access over Ethernet; in models with the WebPort gateway family, data can also be transmitted via VPN or WebPort Connects cloud service. The device supports bridging with a variety of industrial protocols, including EtherNet/IP, Modbus (RTU/ASCII), DF1, PPI, and ISOTCP, and it can communicate with serial devices through configurable RS-232/RS-485 ports. A built-in Web Port user interface lets operators configure the gateway, view operation, and manage data collection from any browser-enabled device, while alarms and reports can be generated and actions triggered automatically based on PLC data. Security and remote maintenance are supported via VPN connections and the WebPort Connects cloud service, enabling remote configuration, monitoring, and alerting without exposing devices directly to the Internet.
