SMC VR1210 is a metal-body, three-port shuttle valve that feeds a single output from two input lines, automatically selecting the active source by whichever input port has higher pressure. The model in a 5-pack with 1/4" fittings is designed for compact automation circuits where two pressure signals compete to drive a single actuator or pilot line. Construction features an aluminum alloy body with brass valve seats and NBR seals, delivering robust performance in typical industrial environments. Rated for up to 1.0 MPa, it operates across a -5 to 60°C ambient range (no freezing) and is intended for direct pneumatic connections with standard 1/4" fittings. In operation, the higher-pressure input governs flow to the common output while the opposite input is blocked; if pressures change, the shuttle re-seats to route the current higher-pressure source to the output. Typical applications include pneumatic signal transfer, manifold logic, and actuation circuits where two sensors or supply lines must be OR-ed to a single downstream device.
