SMC Corporation VHS50-10 Pneumatic Relief Valve

SMC VHS50-10 Pneumatic Relief Valve is a three-port, OSHA-standard pressure-relief device in the VHS50 series that protects pneumatic circuits by venting excess pressure to exhaust when the set pressure is reached. It features locking holes for secure panel mounting and a single-action operation, suitable for compact, install-and-forget protection in automation lines. The typical port configuration on VHS50 models is IN 3/4 in, OUT 1/2 in, and EXH 1 in, with a body length around 134 mm for certain R-variant configurations; the base VHS50-10 unit carries a selectable relief set pressure from 0.1 to 10.0 MPa. Variants include VHS50-10-R, which specifies a +1.5 MPa proof pressure and a 2-position, 2-way flow spool arrangement, and other sub-versions such as VHS50-10A-R-X1 and VHS50-10B-S that retain the locking-hole feature and OSHA conformity. This valve is intended to vent excess upstream pressure to atmospheric exhaust in pneumatic systems, protecting actuators, cylinders and downstream controls from overpressure and enabling safe operation in automation equipment.
