The AF30-N03D-Z-A is a modular air filter from SMC’s AF30 series designed for 3/8 in NPT air lines with a 5 μm filtration element. It features a 3/8 inch port size (03) and NPT thread type (N) for straightforward integration into compressed-air systems, with a float-type auto drain option (D) that opens the drain port when pressure is not applied. The unit uses a polycarbonate bowl (Semi-Standard a) and the Z option denotes left-to-right flow direction with a drain cock, plus a name plate and caution plate for the bowl. Rated for a maximum operating pressure of 1.0 MPa and a proof pressure of 1.5 MPa, it is designed to withstand typical factory air lines while maintaining reliable filtration. The ambient and fluid temperature range is –5 to 60 °C, making it suitable for standard pneumatic environments. By capturing moisture and particulates down to 5 μm, the AF30-N03D-Z-A helps protect downstream components such as cylinders, valves, and actuators from contamination and water carryover.
