SMC AFD40-N04D-Z-A Micro Mist Separator is a compact auto-drain filter that removes oil mist from compressed air, protecting downstream equipment from contaminants. Designed for 1/2 in NPT connections and a maximum operating pressure of 145 psi (0.05–1 MPa), it supports high flow up to about 600 L/min (21.2 CFM) in typical industrial lines. The filter element targets very fine aerosols with a 0.01 μm rating, and the drain is automatic and normally open, discharging condensate without manual intervention. With a body size of 40 and a left-to-right flow configuration, this unit is intended for use in pneumatic circuits where reliable, low-maintenance mist separation is required.
