Eight-channel isolated instrumentation analog input module in SIXNET's RemoteTRAK family, the RM-8INS provides high‑resolution measurement of sensors and floating 4–20 mA signals. It features a 16‑bit A/D converter, differential inputs, and software-selectable ranges for thermocouples (types J, K, E, R, T, B, C, N, S) and for 4–20 mA currents, with input impedance of about 200 kΩ across most ranges and a 100 Ω shunt for 4–20 mA paths. Each channel has two input terminals and channel‑to‑channel isolation to minimize noise and ground loops. The device offers automatic thermocouple linearization and burnout detection, with full-scale accuracy specified at ±0.02% of reading at 20 °C and common‑mode rejection of 140 dB (50/60 Hz), and DMRR of 66 dB. The RM‑8INS maps its eight analog inputs to AX0–AX7 registers (Modbus/Open Protocol) and is designed for remote I/O use via SIXNET’s RemoteTRAK toolkit, enabling integration with EtherTRAK networks and other SIXNET modules.
