Siemens SITRANS F M MAGFLO MAG5000 Flow Meter combines a MAGFLO electromagnetic sensor with the MAG 5000 transmitter to measure the flow of conductive liquids in 6-inch (150 mm) pipe with a single, non-contacting measurement path. The sensor family includes MAG 1100 or MAG 1100 F, offering robust performance for water, wastewater, and chemical streams; the transmitter portion provides an IP67 / NEMA 4X/6-rated enclosure in a durable polyamide housing, suitable for demanding industrial environments. It accepts 11–30 V DC or 11–24 V AC (50/60 Hz) power and is designed for easy integration with plant controls, delivering a typical accuracy of ±0.4% of reading and a low-flow cut-off of 1.5% of the measuring range. As with all MAGFLO devices, there are no moving parts, so wear is minimized and maintenance is reduced, making it well-suited for long-term reliability in municipal and industrial water applications, chemical processing lines, and pulp/paper workflows. The MAGFLO approach uses Faraday's law to derive volumetric flow from conductive liquids, enabling precise dosing, monitoring, and system feedback in pipelines where accurate flow measurement is critical.
