The Siemens FCL2004-U1 MXL Device Interface Module, model S54400-A68-A1, functions as the bridge between MXL intelligent field devices and Cerberus PRO fire alarm controllers such as FC922 and FC924, enabling reliable communication and control of detectors, manual call points, and related peripherals on the MXL network. It provides two independent MXL loops that can be configured for Class A or Class B operation, with up to 60 intelligent devices per loop (plus device accessories) and without the need for end-of-line resistors; both loops are supervised and power-limited per NEC 760, ensuring safe, auditable operation.
