Siemens 7VH9 Analog Temperature Controller Module
Siemens 7VH9 Analog Temperature Controller Module
Description:
Siemens 7VH9 Analog Temperature Controller Module is a dedicated temperature-control block designed for Siemens PCS 7 automation environments, enabling direct analog temperature regulation within the control system. The PCS 7 V90 equipment-modules documentation describes two operational variants: Variant 1, a controller for analog measurement and a manipulated variable via a 4–20 mA signal, which is activated by selecting the functions PV_In and Opt_PV_Scale at the instance; and Variant 2, a controller for thermocouples connected to an analog input module for temperature measurement, activated by selecting PV_TE_In. In the thermocouple path, the channel block scaling is preset for the 0 to 1 range, simplifying setup. The module supports standard process-sensor interfaces and is intended for use in temperature-control loops, including cascade schemes such as temperature-flow control, within Siemens automation architectures. As part of Siemens’ analog-temperature-control equipment modules family, the 7VH9 is positioned to integrate with existing sensors, actuators, and signal-conditioning hardware used to maintain precise process temperatures on industrial lines. Typical applications include process industries and manufacturing environments where reliable, steady temperature regulation is required using either 4–20 mA control signals or thermocouple inputs.
