Siemens 6GK1551-2AA00 Communications Processor Card is the CP 5512 PC Card (CardBus, 32-bit) that provides an MPI/PROFIBUS interface for a notebook or programming device. It uses a 9-pin Sub-D RS-485 connector for PROFIBUS/MPI communications and draws power from the backplane at 3.3 V, with a maximum current of 0.52 A and about 1.8 W of power loss. Data transmission on the PROFIBUS interface reaches up to 12 Mbit/s. This PC Card is designed to connect a PC-based tool to PROFIBUS or MPI networks for configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics of Siemens PLC networks via CardBus.
