SICK WT12-2P460 Photoelectric Through-Beam Sensor

The SICK WT12-2P460 is a compact, IP67‑rated photoelectric sensor from the WT12 family that uses reflective sensing with background suppression and a PNP switching output for small, fast object detection in tight spaces. Its 15 mm × 49 mm × 41.5 mm zinc‑diecast housing sits behind an M12, 4‑pin connector with an LED light source and an adjustable sensitivity pot; it operates from 10–30 V DC and draws about 30 mA. The device detects targets at a range of 35–100 mm (rated for a 90% remission with DIN 5033) and supports light/dark switching, all while surviving temperatures from −40 °C to +60 °C (−40 °C to +75 °C in storage), making it well suited for compact installations on conveyors and packaging lines where space is limited and reliable background rejection is required.
