SICK WL160-F142 Photoelectric Sensor

SICK WL160-F142 is a compact photoelectric retro-reflective sensor in a rectangular block housing (11 x 38 x 23 mm) that pairs a visible red 680 nm beam with a PL80A reflector for reliable long-range sensing. It runs on 10–30 V DC with a ~25 mA current draw and provides a PNP switching output, with a 2 m PVC cable, 0.2 mm² conductors, and IP67 enclosure; the housing is plastic (PBT) and the optics use PMMA, optimized for industrial environments. The sensing range is 0.01 to 6.5 m when used with the PL80A reflector, supports light/dark switching selectable via a rotary switch, and offers a fast response time of ≤0.5 ms, making it suitable for fast conveyor or packaging-line detection.
