SICK VTF18-4P1240 Photoelectric Switch

The SICK VTF18-4P1240 Photoelectric Switch is a compact cylindrical sensor from SICK’s V18 family, housed in an M18 × 1 body (18 mm diameter, 78 mm long) with an axial optical axis. It uses an infrared LED emitter and provides background-suppression detection to reliably identify on-object presence against clutter. Its sensing range reaches up to 100 mm, with a switching distance adjustable from 3 to 90 mm via a 270° potentiometer, allowing precise tuning for different part sizes and distances. The unit features a 4-pin M12-style connector and operates on 10–30 V DC, delivering a PNP output. The small form factor fits tight spaces on conveyors, feeders, and packaging lines where small parts require reliable detection.
