SICK UFN3-70N415 Fiber Optic Photoelectric Sensor
SICK UFN3-70N415 Fiber Optic Photoelectric Sensor
Description:
UFN3-70N415 is a fork-style ultrasonic slot sensor from SICK designed to detect labels on packaging lines and the gaps between labels. Its 3 mm fork width and 69 mm fork depth keep the sensor compact for inline use, and the overall housing measures 18 mm (W) × 47.5 mm (H) × 92.5 mm (L). It operates from 10 to 30 V DC and draws about 40 mA, with a switching frequency up to 1.5 kHz and a response time of 250 µs. The unit provides an NPN switching output; the high level is near the supply voltage and the low level is typically below 2 V. Teach-in is supported via plus/minus buttons and cable, including a two-point teach-in and dynamic teach-in that depends on label thickness. The MDO is 2 mm, meaning it detects gaps between labels or small labels as narrow as 2 mm. With label-detection capability, it is well suited for applications involving transparent or translucent labels on webs or on packaging lines, where compact form factor and fast response are critical.
