SICK OTS400-0000 Process Controller

The SICK OTS400-0000 Omni Tracking System is a central barcode-tracking controller for inline production lines, coordinating up to 10 bar codes per object across a field that can track up to 20 objects when using up to four scanners. It interfaces to a host via RS-232 or RS-422/485 with optional bus connection and supports SICK Standard, 3964(R), RK512, and Crisplant S2000 protocols; data transfer rates range from 300 to 38,400 baud. Supported barcode types include Code 39, Code 128, Code 93, Codabar, EAN, EAN-128, UPC, and 2/5 Interleaved, with codes up to 50 characters long (up to 600 characters across all codes per reading interval). The unit provides three trigger inputs for reading pulses (Trigger 1–3) or software triggers, four functional outputs and a relay, and diagnostic interfaces via AUX and CAN connections. Power options are 230 V AC (-15%/+10%) or 24 V DC (+20%/-10%), with a sheet-steel enclosure and a clear reading window; the main chassis weighs about 10.3 kg (incl. power pack/automatic circuit-breaker) and carries IP65 protection for the enclosure. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to 50 °C with storage from –25 to 70 °C; EMC, vibration, and safety specs align with the OTS400/OTC400 data sheet. The OTS400-0000 is designed to aggregate data from multiple scanners and present object-level results to the host as items pass through the reading field.
