SICK Optoelectronics WL160T-F212 Photoelectric Sensor

The WL160T-F212 is a compact retro-reflective photoelectric sensor from SICK Optoelectronics, designed for non‑contact detection of objects when used with a reflector. It operates on 10–30 V DC and typically draws about 40 mA, with a 2 m PVC cable supplied; its rugged housing is plastic (PBT) with PMMA optics and an IP69K enclosure rating for wash‑down environments. The device measures 11 mm (W) × 38 mm (H) × 23 mm (D) and uses a visible red light at 665 nm for sensing, with a maximum standard range of 0.03 m to 1.5 m and an extended range up to 2.2 m when paired with reflector PL80A. Its switching output is PN P, and it offers light/dark switching selectable via a rotary switch, with a fast response time of ≤ 0.2 ms. A 5 m cable length is available on request, in addition to the standard 2 m cable.
