SICK NTL6-E11 Optic Fiber Contrast Sensor Module
SICK NTL6-E11 Optic Fiber Contrast Sensor Module
Description:
The SICK NTL6-E11 Optic Fiber Contrast Sensor Module is a fiber‑optic contrast sensor in SICK’s NT6 family that detects brightness or color contrast on surfaces via a fiber‑optic probe. Its compact 80 mm × 30.4 mm × 64 mm housing carries an adjustable sensitivity potentiometer and a light/dark switching function, with sensing distance dependent on the fiber‑optic cable. The unit runs on 10–30 V DC and typically draws under 80 mA, offering both PNP and NPN switching outputs and an analog 0.15–6 V output for gradient sensing; the light source varieties include red 660 nm and infrared 880 nm depending on configuration. In typical operation, switching speeds reach up to 10 kHz with a response time greater than 50 µs, and the device lists a mean service life of about 10,000 hours at TA = +25 °C.
