SICK NT8-01412 Sensor

The SICK NT8-01412 is a contrast sensor from the NT8 family that detects light/dark differences on small features at close range, with a nominal sensing distance of up to 9 mm and a light spot of 1.5 × 3.5 mm. Light emission can be oriented on either the long or short side of the housing, and the unit’s housing measures 76 mm (W) × 30 mm (H) × 58.8 mm (D) with a vertical spot direction. The electronics are powered by 10–30 V DC, drawing under 50 mA, with ripple ≤5 Vpp and a switching frequency up to 10 kHz; it provides a switching output (NPN, unloaded) and a light/dark switching function, adjustable via a potentiometer.
