SICK NT6-03022 Contrast Sensor
SICK NT6-03022 Contrast Sensor
Description:
NT6-03022 is a compact contrast sensor in SICK's NT6 family designed for non-contact detection of contrast marks on moving parts, labels, or packaging. The device operates from 10–30 V DC with ≤5 Vpp ripple and draws < 80 mA, delivering a digital switch output and an analog output for graded contrast sensing. It switches at up to 10 kHz with a response time better than 50 μs, enabling precise edge or mark detection on fast conveyors. The sensing distance is up to 9 mm with a tolerance of ±2 mm, and the light source can be switched between visible red and green LEDs (560 nm for green). The light spot size is 1.5 mm × 5 mm (1.5 × 4 mm with red illumination), and the spot orientation is vertical relative to the long housing side. The rugged housing measures 80 mm (W) × 30.4 mm (H) × 64 mm (D) and carries the part number 1005822 for NT6-03022. The switch output voltage levels are High when near the supply and Low when below about 2 V, while the analog output provides a 0.15–6 V signal; with a 1:1 light/dark response ratio, this sensor is suited for detecting contrast changes on labels, printed marks, or color changes on a production line, enabling both positioning checks and quality control tasks in automation setups.
