SICK MZF1-03VPS-KUO Pneumatic Sensor

The SICK MZF1-03VPS-KUO is a magnetic cylinder sensor from SICK’s MZF1 family, designed to detect the piston magnet inside pneumatic cylinders and provide reliable position feedback. It uses a 3-wire DC supply (10–30 V DC) and delivers a PNP normally open output; the device draws ≤10 mA in supply and can switch loads up to 100 mA. With a front sensing face, the sensor boasts an IP67 enclosure rating, a response time of ≤2 ms, and a repeatability of ≤0.2 mm, making it suitable for fast, precise cylinder position sensing. The MZF1-03VPS-KUO also offers a sensing sensitivity of about 3 mT and EMC compliance to EN 60947‑5‑2, with shock resistance up to 30 g and a temperature range of −25 °C to +75 °C. Connection options include cable with connector choices such as M8 3-pin PUR or M12 3-pin PVC, with lengths commonly 2 m or 5 m, and a plastic housing designed for rugged industrial environments.
