The SICK MICS3-ABAZ55IZ1P01 microScan3 Core EtherNet/IP Safety Laser Scanner is a compact indoor protection device designed to guard personnel and equipment across stationary and mobile automation. It provides a 5.5 m protective field, a 40 m warning field, and a 275° scanning arc with eight detection fields, of which up to four can be monitored simultaneously. Resolution is configurable (30, 40, 50, 70, 150, 200 mm) with an angular resolution of 0.39° and a 95 ms response time, making it suitable for fast safeguarding in dense production lines. The unit is IEC 61496 Type 3 (PL d) and IEC 61508 SIL 2 compliant, with PFH around 8.0×10^-8 per hour, housed in an IP65 enclosure and shipped as an indoor version with an underside pre-mounted system plug for straightforward integration.
