SICK LUT3-650

SICK LUT3-650 is a luminescence sensor from the LUT3 family, part number 1015398, designed to detect luminescent marks with UV excitation on automation lines. It uses a UV LED at 375 nm to illuminate targets and a receiver tuned to 450–750 nm, with a receiving filter limited to ≤420 nm to suppress background luminescence. The sensor’s compact, large housing measures 30.4 mm × 53 mm × 80 mm, and the light spot is 5 mm × 15 mm emitted from the long side with the spot positioned vertically from the leading edge of the lens. It offers a sensing distance up to 50 mm and a working range of 30–60 mm, with electrical adjustment via a potentiometer and a light-switching output compatible with PNP/NPN wiring over a 4‑pin M12 connector. The LUT3-650 is specified for long service life, up to about 100,000 hours at 25 °C, making it suitable for reliable inline luminescence detection on parts, labels, or coatings within a tight 50 mm sensing window.
