SICK KT2R-2B3711 Contrast Sensor

KT2R-2B3711 is a compact SICK contrast sensor from the KT2 family designed to detect light/dark transitions on flat surfaces. The rectangular housing measures 15 mm × 49 mm × 41.5 mm and houses a 2 mm light spot that emits visible red light at 660 nm. It offers a sensing distance of up to 13.5 mm with a tolerance of ±2 mm and is adjusted via a potentiometer. The sensor provides switching outputs in either PNP or NPN configuration and operates from a 10–30 V DC supply, drawing less than 80 mA. Key timing specs include a 50 µs response time and a switching frequency of up to 10 kHz, with a 1:1 light/dark switching ratio. Service life is rated at 100,000 hours at +25 °C.
