Description:

The SICK i12-SA113 electro-mechanical safety switch is a compact interlock from the i12S family designed for guarding doors and access points on industrial machinery, with the actuator supplied separately. It provides one normally closed (NC) and one normally opened (NO) contact, and is rated for 3 A at 240 V AC or 2 A at 24 V DC, with a rated insulation voltage of 240 V and an impulse withstand voltage of 2,500 V AC. The device uses slow-action switching (IEC 60947-5-1) and offers EN ISO 14119 Type 2 safety parameters, including 2 × 10^6 switching cycles under light load and a low actuator coding level; it has no internal fault detection—the safety state is provided by the connected safety-related logic unit. Mechanical and electrical interface details include a retention force of ≤6 N, actuation frequency up to 7,200 actuations per hour, five actuation directions, and an approach speed of ≤10 m/min; the switch is wired via a cable gland (M16) for conductors up to 1.5 mm². Ordering info: Type i12-SA113, part no. 6025057, with the actuator not supplied in delivery. Typical applications include safety interlock circuits to guard machine access doors and gates in automated environments.
