SICK GL10-P4111 Photoelectric Switch

The SICK GL10-P4111 is a compact G10 photoelectric retro-reflective sensor in a rectangular 20 mm × 50 mm × 39 mm housing, designed for fast, reliable object detection in tight spaces and ships with a reflector in the box. It uses a visible red PinPoint LED (625 nm) with a light spot about 58 mm across at 5 m, enabling clear sensing over distances that range from 0.08 m to 15 m with reflectors PL80A or P250, and a switching range of 0.15 m to 12 m depending on the reflector. The device supports light and dark switching and offers a selectable mode via a light/dark selector. Operation is from 10 to 30 V DC with a ripple of ±5 V peak-to-peak and typical current consumption of 20 mA, driving a PNP switching output with a maximum load current of 100 mA; response time is ≤ 500 μs and switching frequency up to 1 kHz. Connectivity is via a 4‑pin M12 connector, and the sensor provides average service life of 100,000 hours at 25 °C. This small yet capable sensor is well suited for compact automation tasks where precise presence or edge detection is required, leveraging SICK’s dual‑lens, retro‑reflective design for robust performance across varying ambient conditions.
