The SICK EL3-P2428 is a retroreflective photoelectric sensor (ELF3 family) that detects targets up to 3 meters away when used with a PL80A reflector, using a visible red 660 nm light for sensing. It provides a PNP output and can be configured for dark-on or light-on operation, with a 10–30 V DC supply. The unit ships with a 5 m, 4-conductor PUR cable terminated on an M12 4-pin A-coded connector, and is designed for industrial environments with an operating range of -25°C to 50°C. Typical applications include conveyor and packaging-line sensing, position monitoring on automation equipment, and other inline detection tasks where a compact retroreflective sensor is advantageous.
